Nicole Soto-Ortega, Esq., Partner

Nicole Soto-Ortega is a Miami native born into a Cuban and Puerto Rican family. Nicole obtained both her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University. There after she obtained her Juris Doctor Degree from St. Thomas University, graduating Cum Laude and in the top 10% of her graduating class. Not only did she maintain her status on the Dean's List every semester but she also received the CALI Book Award in Guardianship Law. 

Nicole was a member of the St. Thomas Law Review as the Executive Notes and Comments Editor and was also the President of the Elder Law Society, she also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Maria M. Korvick, Circuit Court Judge in the Probate Division of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in Miami-Dade. 

After law school, Nicole returned to the 11th Judicial Circuit as an Attorney Case Manager to the Honorable Jerald Bagley until the time of his retirement and also to current sitting Judge the Honorable Jorge E. Cueto, Circuit Court Judge in the Probate Division of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in Miami-Dade. She then pursued a career in civil litigation focusing in the area of insurance defense working as in house Staff Counsel for one of the top insurance companies in the United States. 

Nicole practices in the areas of Probate, Trusts, Guardianships, Guardian Advocacy, Estate Planning, and Elder Law. 

During her free time she enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her husband and family.
